About the Event
Susan Spangler and Deborah Brooks first met in 2019, and immediately recognized each other as musical twins. Carrying years of separate
experiences performing in various bands and genres, they were drawn together by a love for the sound of women’s voices raised in song.
An accomplished multi-instrumentalist with a warm, rich voice, Susan is a master of adventurous harmonies that weave effortlessly through their music. Also a longtime solo and harmony singer, Deborah’s clear alto shines in her original songs and playful covers. Her guitar work forms a strong underpinning for Susan’s lyrical mandolin and the magic that their
voices create together.
Both alums of the harmony-focused string band, Joy Street, they gravitate to music that is deeply hopeful and inspiring. This is a show that will bring a smile to your face that will last all week!
